2008       MSc Analytical Chemistry, VU University, Amsterdam, The Netherlands
1997       BSc Analytical Chemistry, Hanzehogeschool, Groningen, the Netherlands

Professional employment history

1997 - 2000Laboratory technician analytical chemistry at TNO – Voeding, Zeist, the Netherlands. Method development for determination of antibiotics in meat with LC-MS techniques and bacteria tests systems.
2000 - 2010Laboratory technician environmental analytical chemistry at the Institute for Environmental Studies, the Netherlands. Method development and determination of environmental pollutions (e.g. hormones, PAK, PCB, fatty acid, phenols, organotin) in matrixes (e.g. sediment, biota and water) with different extraction techniques (e.g. SPE, L/L extraction, ASE) and detection methods (e.g. GS-MS, LC-MS, LC-UV).
2010 -  presentPhD at the Institute for Environmental Studies, the Netherlands. Topic: Indentification of the most relevant (phototoxic) contaminants in water and sediments in the Dutch Delta that influence primary producers, and to gain insight in seasonal dynamics of the chemical speciation in the coastal zone.
