Ana M. Ballesteros is scientist in Analytical Chemistry and her research has been mainly focused on method development for analysis of trace organic contaminants. Her PhD studies were carried out at the Supramolecular Analytical Chemistry Research Group in Cordoba (Spain) and dealt with the use of supramolecular solvents made up of surfactant aggregates (micelles, vesicles) and adsorbents based on magnetic nanoparticles for simplifying analytical extraction processes in the analysis of priority and emerging contaminants in food and environmental samples.
