Junior researcher

Summary

Kristian Kristensen works as a researcher and data analyst in the department of Environmental Policy Analysis at the Institute for Environmental Studies (IVM). He works on fragmentation and participation in global environmental governance, currently as a member of the CONNECT project. Kristian is intrigued by how non-state actors might contribute to mitigating climate change and other environmental problems and explores this issue using empirical data and statistical modelling. His Master’s thesis focuses on company actors’ engagement in voluntary climate change governance.

He holds a MSc in Environment and Resource Management from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and an Honours BSc in Sustainability from Leiden University College, The Hague. Kristian is a Danish native and is fluent in Danish and English.
