IPCC special report on Managing the Risks of Extreme Events published

On November 18th, the findings of the Special Report on Managing the Risks of Extreme Events and Disasters to Advance Climate Change Adaptation (SREX) are made public.

The report was prepared by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). IVM researcher Laurens Bouwer is a contributing author to Chapter 4 of this report, which deals with the impacts of climate extremes on Human systems and Ecosystems. The Summary for Policymakers of the overall report is also made available on 18 November, in Kampala, Uganda.
